For more than a hundred years, the mineral oil refined from petroleum is used in the transformers submerged in liquid. Today, is spent annually in the entire world more than a million tons of transformer oil. The success of the mineral oil for transformers has been based primarily on their availability and low cost as well as in its good performance and dielectric coolant.
