ABSTRACT
There are plenty of countries that, facing the urgent necessity of new power sources, look at the offers of the Nature. In this opportunity the pioneering French accomplishment in the estuary of the Rance when fulfilling the 40 years contributes to a good experience and a challenge to the technicians who, actually, will be the problems solvers. The political reasons (votes) face the technical reasons (efficiency, possibilities allowed by the technological developments,…), but the solution only will arise from the understanding, the comprehension and…the circumstances.
