ABSTRACT
Innovation is a key factor for industrial competitiveness and for the territories in which they are located. Sustainable development is also a must for economical growth. Through thispaper the relation between innovation and responsible competitiveness for European Countries is studied, in order to establish a link between both concepts and economical growth. A cluster analysis is also done for EU countries. Variables concerning innovation and sustainability are included in this analysis in order to extract relevant conclusions for sustainable territorial development. Therefore, differences are obtained between developed and less developed countries in terms of sustainability.
