María Teresa Estevan Bolea received in London last October the 2018 World Engineering Award from the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO). Considering the outstanding coincidence that this prize had been awarded to our profession and that it had been awarded to a woman, we cannot for less, besides conveying our warmest congratulations, gather some opinions on the transcendence of the Prize, the position and recognition of Spanish industrial engineering in the technological world and, especially, of the women who, more and more, are joining it.
