The Trapiche del Prado, also known as the Trapiche of the Inquisition, began its activity around 1644, following an agreement to cede land from the Town Hall located in the old Prado de los Caballos. In 1673 it had already passed through several hands, such as Don Tomás Domínguez, who reported that it was in a semi-ruinous state and that it needed to be sold urgently. In 1688 it was seized for debt and passed into the hands of the Holy Inquisition.
