ABSTRACT Use of fossil fuels presents three essential problems: limited availability, their supply is often threatened by geopolitical conflicts and the CO2 emissions related to their use is one of the main causes of the greenhouse effect. Energy from renewable sources seems to be an alternative to prevent this impact. However, storage capacity is one of the inconveniences in the face of demand trends and production. Among the alternatives those dealing with hydrogen as a new energy vector and fuel cells to convert hydrogen chemical energy into electricity and/or heat are excellent candidates. Key words: Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, Renewable Energy.
