When DYNA published its first issue in January 1926, the Bilbao Association of Industrial Engineers had only 171 members. It had been founded in January 1909, being the fourth in seniority of Spain. The Madrid it had been in 1861, two years later in Barcelona, Valencia in 1875, which merged in 1889 with Madrid and returned to disintegrate in 1911.
