In the retreat to Madrid by the Reds, pushed by the column of Africa that made its advance taking roughly as axis the railroad, they transferred to Madrid most of the vehicles of the line and, of course, all the locomotives. It covered the National Zone from Cuatro Vientos until the end of the journey; But as the bridge over the Alberche River had been flown, it was only in a position to use the section of Navalcarnero at Cuatro Vientos for the time being.
