RESUMEN
Como en tantos otros hitos de la Ciencia y de la Investigación, también se han producido discrepancias sobre quién merece ser el creador de la Tabla periódica de los elementos: el alemán Lothar Meyer o el ruso Dimitri Mendeleiev.
Al cumplirse en Centenario del fallecimiento de éste último, puede considerarse oportuno recordar la importantísima labor investigadora que condujo a tan esquemática concentración de las características de los elementos.
