ABSTRACT
The high technicality in matter about individual protection that all Fire Brigade are acquiring continually, means to investigate the designs of their protection equipment, to get a higher security and higher connection between all their different parts. This is due mainly, to the appearance of new materials, to the technological advance and to the legislative requirements in Security and Health. We try to establish a methodology of the study of the different design in the helmets of the firefighters, placing the use of each design in the history, assessing their advantages and disadvantages and analysing the evolution of their own designs. So that, we have proceeded to prepare a type card, studying the different parts of the helmet, their possible accessories and their physical properties in resistance in high temperatures, blows, radiations and any other required characteristic by the current legislation.
