In the present work, the effect of the ultrasonic parameters on the deagglomeration and dispersion of the TiO2 nanoparticles in a polymer matrix of EVA (ethylene-co-vinyl acetate copolymer) was systematically studied. The ultrasonic parameters studied were amplitude, pulse and time. The antibacterial property of the composite material against the bacterium Escherichia coli (E.coli) was also studied. A significant statistical effect of the ultrasound parameters on the deagglomeration and dispersion of the TiO2 nanoparticles was found and the amplitude, pulse and time levels of the ultrasonic treatment which maximize the percentage of growth inhibition of the studied bacteria were established.Key Words: Ultrasonic, antibacterial, Escherychia coli (E. coli), TiO2, Experimental design.
