DYNA JOURNAL ENGINEERING

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is an annual publication of Clarivate Analytics (formerly intellectual property of Thomson Reuters). This JCR database is a tool that provides bibliometric analysis of more than 5,900 journals in the areas of science and technology and 1,700 journals in the social sciences.
Founded in Bilbao in 1925, the journal DYNA has a long history of service to the multidisciplinary engineering community, but it was in 2007 when its traditional professional profile was reoriented towards the researcher through its inclusion in the most prestigious scientific databases in the world:
In 2007 it was included in Web of Science: Science Citation Index Exanded (SCIE) and in 2009 in the Journal Citation Index (JCR), where it is positioned in the Q3 quartile with an impact factor of 2.070. This impact factor gives an idea of how much researchers "use" the articles published in DYNA to generate new knowledge. In our case, it indicates that for every article published in DYNA, that article is cited 1.035 times as reference knowledge in articles published in other JCR journals.
In 2009 it enters Scopus and is currently also within the Q3 quartile with a measurement of its citations by the Citescore indicator = 1.3. The meaning of the Citescore is similar to that of the impact factor, but with a slightly different calculation formula.
The availability of a JCR journal for the Spanish engineering community gives visibility and prestige to Spanish engineering research in the world. There are not many journals in Spanish among this type of journals and the easy access and personal contact with the editor is something highly valued by research engineers.
