In the contents of the year 2014 have been treated different topics: energy optimization, batteries lithium-ion batteries microbial fuel, sustainability at the municipal level, the carbon footprint... All of the content with the exception of the news that have a goal more informative, have been reviewed and approved by experts prior to publication in the magazine.

The statistics publishers from 2014, show a factor in the rejection of a 40% and a term medium for the publication of 32 calendar days (from receipt of the article until its allocation of DOI and publication in the magazine). It is important to highlight the speed of the publishing process that offers the authors a time of very low response to a double-blind evaluation.

And as we look to the year ahead, there are important issues that we will no doubt in our magazine in any way. As referred to in the recent report of the World Energy Council , the energy issues of interest to be discussed in the new year will include:

• Energy Price: its high volatility will continue to create uncertainty.
• Price of CO2: the lack of a comprehensive agreement in reference to the fight against climate change will affect its outcome.
• Access to capital: conditional upon the implementation of the necessary energy infrastructure.
• Capture, storage and use of the CO2: important technology to achieve sustainability objectives agreed for the year 2050.
• Energy Efficiency :remains of immediate interest, but in the long term will depend on their needed funding.

In any case, all the policies that are addressed in the future will need to balance the trinomial: safety, price and sustainability of our energy system.
