The platinum as a catalyst in fuel cells and to generate hydrogen gas is very effective and very well known. But the cost of the Platinum blocks the construction of fuel cells in the amount that we need. A group of researchers has found a method of reactivity that equals the cost of the Platinum to a thousand times less.
