ABSTRACT: Urban Distribution of Goods, also named as Capillary Urban Distribution, covers those movements which have as objective the goods distribution into an urban nucleus. Due to the massive penetration of electric vehicles expected in a medium-range, several initiatives have been promoted by the Public Administration (Municipal Mobility Plans) to try to carry out this activity considering an urban sustainability point of view. Under the framework of DITRICAVE project – Capillary Urban Distribution with clean vehicles- funded by FEDER funds through Consejería de Fomento y Vivienda de la Junta de Andalucía, a study has been developed to assess the capacity of the power grid in a city, facing the introduction of electric vehicles for Urban Distribution of Goods. In this paper, it is exposed the methodology to estimate the power grid capacity of a location to cover the reloading demand coming from electric vehicles used for Urban Distribution of Goods. Keywords: urban distribution, goods, electric vehicles, capacity of electric grid, reload, last mille distribution
