The forestry production in the autonomous community of Galicia is one of the most relevant as regards woody biomass availability in Spain. The aim of this study is determinate the carbon footprint score in forest production and futher processing of biomass by pelletization for subsequent transportation to a community with less availabilit of local biomass. The methodology is based in the analysis of the forestry production processess and the industrial processes taking current data of emissions in the area of Pontevedra , considering fundamental aspects from the environmental point of view to obtain the highest accuracy. The study of forest operations time, fuel and energy consumption and transportation distance allows the calculation the carbon footprint impact to be compared to the predetermined targets in emissions savings Word Keys: Carbon footprint, forestry operations, transport, pellets
