The residential customer was the great forgotten of the electrical system. Despite its weight in total consumption, until a few years ago its power to intervene in the market was extremely limited. The emergence of new technologies allows, on the one hand, to obtain the consumption data individually and on the other hand, the analyzers in the aggregate way. In this paper, the aggregate consumption of domestic customers of three large Spanish cities has been analyzed. The objective is to try to characterize their demand curves and ask if possible possible cost savings without changing their consumption patterns. The results confirm this hypothesis, being tremendously profitable for the consumers the treatment of the massive data to which they have access thanks to the new technologies.
