ABSTRACTIn this paper, the model and design of controllers for a single-phase inverter in isolated operation of the grid are presented. In particular, the model in small signal is obtained and from this the different transfer functions that allow to design in simple and direct way the controllers of the different control loops that make up the energy conversion system are obtained. For the controllers design in this operation mode, initially a conventional method in direct current is developed, from which a proportional-integral controller is designed. Secondly, a method based on dc-ac transformations that allows to design a proportional controller plus generalized integrator in ac, based on the design of a proportional-integral controller in dc is developed. Particularly in this paper the advantages of the second method are highlighted since its application allows to design controllers for the different control loops that make up the energy conversion unit in a simple way. That is, by means of this method can be design classical control configurations plus generalized integrators to the fundamental frequency of operation of the grid and the harmonics of the load methodically and nonrandom using the dc-ac transformation Keywords: Controller design, single-phase inverter, island mode operation, dc-ac transformation
