The Newton-Raphson load flow method is widely used in industry applications. The main drawback of this method is that the factorizing and updating of the system Jacobian matrix during the iterative process. This paper describes Newton-Raphson load flow based on current injection mismatches and sparse matrix technique. The Jacobian matrix calculation is considered the main advantage of this load flow method, where, the off-diagonal and a few diagonal elements are constant and equal to the corresponding elements in the admittance matrix. The current injection mismatches method is considered robust load flow method especially when the buses are PQ-type. The Sparsity technique is applied for analyzing large scale networks to reduce the memory size and the computation time. The SuperLU library is used to perform all calculations of system matrices. Hence, The Jacobian matrix is divided to four matrices, where, each matrix has the same structure of the admittance matrix and includes only the non-zero elements. The proposed algorithm has been tested using the standard IEEE data systems.
