ABSTRACT: This study included the analysis, development and implementation of a system that replaces functions of a human operator during the validation of digital documents in electronic invoicing services, where the process was performed by workers with human errors, too high times, unregistered and rejected electronic invoices, generating additional costs and discomfort to customers. The purpose of the study was to determine the impact of a system based on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using free software and free libraries in the Java platform, that replaces workers in the validation of documents, and that was adapted to the needs required by the electronic invoicing process with low implementation costs. The results were satisfactory. It was achieved the reduction of costs through the reduction of time and the improvement of the efficiency during the process of validation of documents. The quantity of records of documents increased by 16.09% and the percentage of rejected documents decreased by 12.79%. It was recommended to evaluate the impact of RPA software in other sectors.Keywords: RPA, RPA system, electronic invoicing, validation of documents, Robotic Process Automation
