ABSTRACT:There is a great interest on the part of Software Engineers to design reusable software units with quality attributes, such as high coherence, high cohesion and low coupling. Several authors have emphasized the importance of considering the performance of these software units, however, there are few studies that analyze the size and appropriate design based on their response time, object of study of the present experimental study. It was observed that the fewer number of classes that make up the software units, the response time of web services increases. For practical purposes, these internal software structures do not guarantee quality attributes, such as cohesion, coherence and coupling. We conclude that the internal structure of software units must have an intermediate degree of granulation to achieve a balance between software quality attributes and response time. Keywords: Web Services, internal structure, reuse component, quality attributes, time response.
